Uganda Tourism Board is set to introduce comic books that are intended to attract and interest children in tourism.
This revelation has been made by the new Executive director of Uganda Tourism Board, Lilly Ajarova.
According to Ajarova, children have so far not been catered for within the tourism sector, although they are the biggest drivers of the local part of the sector.
This influenced them to come up with a special program that will interest the children in tourism.
“We have a special program for children….We are providing tourism related education to the children. UTB actually sponsored and we continue to print comic books about animals and where they are found, and that will able to get the children interested in visiting these places.
“This is because we believe children are the future, and also many times children influence decisions of where their parents go for holidays,” she said.
