NBS Tv has confirmed the departure of one of its pioneers, Simon Muyanga Lutaaya.
Muyanga who has been at the station for over 10 years called it quits about two weeks back when he handed in his resignation.
He is set to leave the station at the end of this month. Indeed the station has confirmed the exit. It has announced Bashir Kazibwe as his replacement on the popular morning show ‘One on One with Tamale Mirundi’, a show initially hosted by Muyanga.
Much as he hinted at joining farming as his next destination, sources claim he is headed to another Tv station.
In fact, it is the main reason as to why he quit his job at NBS Tv.
It is said newly launched Business TV station, Smart 24 Tv approached him with a better offer and like any other human, he asked out. He is expected to join Smart 24 TV.
The station has already recruited some of the most experienced TV personalities.
Among these include former UBC Tv manager, Jane Kasumba.
It ought to be remembered that Smart 24 Tv is owned by former MP, Igeme Nabeta who founded NBS Tv before selling it off.
It was Nabeta who recruited Muyanga both at NBS radio and Tv.
If Muyanga joins Smart 24 Tv, it will be the third time that the two are working together.
