Entebbe High Court has Thursday commenced the hearing the case of murder of singer Moses Ssekibogo popularly known as Mowzey Radio.
The State’s first witness has been celebrated producer, David Ebanget aka producer Washington.
Testifying before Lady Justice Jane Francis Abodo, Washington told court that he can without a doubt confirm that the suspect in the dock, Godfrey Wamala alias Troy was the person who had killed Radio.
“He is the gentleman who took my brother’s life Mowzey Radio. I know him by face and name he is called Troy, I knew Ssekibogo Moses for 10 years, he is with God,” Washington tells court.
According to Washington, he had known and worked with the late musician for 10 years.
On the fateful day, he says they went to De Bar in Entebbe to see a one Pamella.
They found Bar seated with Troy. There was an altercation between Radio and Troy and Radio poured liquor on the former.
Troy carried Radio and hit him on the ground, landing on his head.
“We made an alarm calling for help. People gathered and we were able to rush him to Emmanuel clinic in Entebbe. However, we were told he was in a severe state which they couldn’t handle. They referred us to Nsambya Hospital.”
He says the late was taken to Nsambya hospital and he returned to police the following day to make a statement.
The State has four witnesses and has adjourned up to 2pm to hear another witness.
Radio died in February 2018 at Case Hospital in Kampala following head injuries that he sustained from a fight that took place at De Bar in Entebbe.
