According to her handlers, Miss Uganda Foundation boss Brendah Nanyonjo, Abenakyo got an infection after having issues with her root canal.

She spent most of Saturday in hospital.

Abenakyo returned to Hospital Sunday for further treatment. Doctors have since advised her to call off the trip, saying she is unfit to travel from Kampala to Kidepo National Park.

The trip has henceforth been postponed until Abenakyo recovers.

The newly crowned Miss World Africa was endorsed as Uganda’s tourism ambassador, replacing socialite Zari Hassan about a week back.

Shortly after her unveiling, the State Minister for tourism Godfrey Kiwanda revealed she was to start her work with the ‘Tulambule’ campaign.

The campaign was set to begin on the 12th Feb, 2019 covering eastern region districts of Jinja and Mbale all through to Karamoja region’s Kidepo National Park to the Acholi region at Murchison Falls National Park.
