Better let than never, goes a proverb. American rapper Kanye West also known as Ye might have missed the Nyege Nyege Festival but we’ve learnt he won’t miss visiting the venue where it all goes down.
The rapper and his family including his wife Kim Kardashian, kids and rapper Big Sean are currently staying at Chobe Safari Lodge located in Murchison Falls National Park in North-Western Uganda.
They arrived in Uganda Friday 3:00pm and were straight away flown by chopper to Chobe Safari Lodge.
Kanye West is in Uganda for a video shoot for his eponymous eighth studio album as well as a vacation.
What we have gathered is, much as the rapper and his entourage are staying at Chobe Safari Lodge, the video shooting will be done in Jinja.
News on our desk has it that the rapper will later in his two weeks stay in the country head for Jinja where the video is expected to be shot.
The venue which has been chosen for the video shooting is the now famous Nile Discovery Beach, the home for famous Nyege Nyege Festival.
Yet to be identified other spots along the have been chosen. Sources indicate the source of the Nile is among the selected spots.
Kanye West will be the second famous artiste to shoot a video in Jinja this year.
A couple of weeks back, Jamaican reggae sensation, Taurus Riley recently released a music video mostly shot in Jinja to showcase the beauty of Uganda.
Meanwhile, Chobe Lodge has been closed off to public until when Kanye West leaves the country.
According to sources, the rapper booked the Lodge for two weeks.
Guests who had booked into the lodge already were refunded their monies and paid an extra 200 per cent of whatever they had originally paid to let Kanye have the lodge to himself.
Welcome to the Pearl of Africa!
