When President Yoweri Museveni declared a lockdown over a week back, everyone’s worry was the likely spike in night robberies especially from the hand-to-mouths who had been left with no means of survival.
To address this, Museveni declared a night curfew whereby everyone have to be at their homes by 7pm.
Though, true to everyone’s worry, thugs are not seated. Police has Tuesday night arrested three men who were breaking into a shop along Ben Kiwanuka Street – Kampala CBD.
The arrested are a one Abasa aka Duplicate, Sande Gerald and Nyenso Magisibo.
They were arrested by CPS Kampala Patrol Team tonight and upon search, they were found with Knives, suspected narcotic drugs and breaking implements.
“It has also been established that one of them, Sande was previously charged with robbery in court last year and remanded to Luzira. Investigations are still ongoing and the trio will be arraigned before a court of law after consulting with the state attorney on the charges preferred.”
